80 HP Diesel Irrigation Water Pumps

When choosing a water pump for your irrigation system, cost and efficiency are key – 80 hp Diesel Irrigation Water Pumps, for example, vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, so make sure you know what you need before you're ready to buy.

If you grow crops commercially, you know your unit costs – how much yield will come from so much seed, how much fertilizer you'll need per acre, et c. But you may not think of those costs when it comes to water. How much does it cost you to pump, say, five acre-feet of water?

Not every pump operates at the same cost per acre. Your sprinkler pump may operate at 80 percent efficiency when pumping 1,200 gallons per minute at 75 pounds per square inch (PSI) But pump those sprinklers at 1,100 gallons per minute at 100 PSI, and it may only pump at 55 percent efficiency. That loss of productivity is costing you money – money you pay for water, money you pay for electrical power, and the money that pays for man hours.

Diesel engine water pumps are among the most efficient mo80 HP Diesel Irrigation Water Pumpsdels, and an 80 hp irrigation water pump is a good, versatile size for most users. Running at 3,000 RPM, most have a fuel tank capacity of about 3.5 gallons. A diesel water pump is an excellent choice for irrigation, because by varying the rate at which the engine runs – the pump's RPM – the flow rate can be changed. Information on how RPM affects your gallon per minute flow should be available from the manufacturer.

By getting information from the makers of diesel water pumps and asking detailed questions, you should be able to determine which 80 hp diesel irrigation water pumps most closely meet your own needs.

Is My Water Pump Related To My Air Con Pump?
Fri, 22 Jan 2010 18:26:25 GMT
My water pump is broken and has just been replaced. My mechanic tells me I have to replace the air con pump at the same time otherwise it could cause more damage. Is this the case or not? I just want to make sure I am not swindled. The main problem I took the car there for was that the water pump was broken along with the timing belt. The car is a Honda Accord 1998 model 2.0 S Reg Automatic So having replaced these two items, he says the aircon pump is bad and it will be pointless replacing ju

Plumbing/water Pump Making Noises?
Fri, 22 Jan 2010 08:51:13 GMT
The water pump in our house makes noises after we use any taps/shower. It sounds like its turning itself off and on constantly. We can get rid of the noise either by using the shower or turning the taps off slowly. It's very loud when it does this but just as loud as when it's in use. Any ideas? :-) Hi, Yes some are quarter turn taps. Thanks Rob it makes a constant noise when in use. The off/on/off/on only happens after use.
